Lobster attack

Friday afternoon, after a long drive from Jersey to New London, Conn. The family and I were drained, parched, famished and in need of some fresh seafood. My beau does not eat seafood, he hates the taste and smell of it all. However, his brother, sister-in-law and I are seafood lovers.

On the fly, I googled fresh seafood restaurants in New London, Conn. and stumbled up on ‘Captain Scotts Lobster Dock.’ When we drove up one of the back passengers was a bit skeptical. She questioned whether we showed up to the right location, if it was just a fresh fish market, or if the beloved lobster was available to-go on a roll. To their surprise, I was correct!. This place was official . We drove up, parked, hopped out, took pictures on the dock by the boats, ordered our food at the walk up and ate outside in the breezy outdoor seating area.

The food was very fresh and full of flavor. Our partner couple ordered lobster rolls and lobster bisque. They kept repeating the phrase; “This is the best lobster roll I’ve ever had.” The roll was full of plump lobster meat and the bisque had fat chunks from the claw crawling around in the fresh milky, buttery broth.  On the other hand, I had juicy jumbo prawns over red potatoes and my Beau had a chicken sandwich(bleh), he said it was very tasty. We left full, satisfied, and itis-filled to say the least. With a long drive back to Jersey ahead of us, we pried our eyes open, sipped Kombucha and made it back to our home in remarkable time.
